Welcome to Mild Cigars.net

Here at Mild Cigars we are devoted to offering you the greatest premium mild cigars available on the market. We strive for exceptional customer care, as well carrying the best premium tobacco, while providing the ultimate deals and a wide variety of your favorite mild cigars.

There are many mild cigars available out there, and here at mild cigars.com, we have chosen a few that are sure to please any cigar smoker. Our first choice is by H. Upmann. The Vintage Cameroon, is new to the H. Upmann brand. Before 1995, Upmanns were wrapped in an African Cameroon leaf. Shortages forced Upmann to change the recipe. The Vintage Cameroon is a new blend, updated for today's smokers. These smokes are smooth, and rich yet mild enough for all cigar smokers.

Another mild cigar that we recommend is the Monticristo White label. These cigars are wrapped in a Connecticut Shade Ecuadorian wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder. Filled with a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan long-fillers, these pleasant cigars are rich and mild.

There a quite a few mild premium cigars available, and we have listed below a few of our favorites from some of the popular brands available today.

The Process of Curing, Fermenting and Selecting Tobacco

To create a cigar, the process begins with harvesting and aging the tobacco leaves. Shade and heat are used to reduce water content and sugar, without causing the leaves to rot. The first part of the process is curing the tobacco. This typically takes approximately 25-45 days based on the climate conditions and also is dependant on the construction of the barns or shed that the tobacco is stored in. The curing process can be manipulated to produce the best result for the tobacco.

The second part of the process is fermentation. This is carried out in conditions designed to help the leaves die slowly. Humidity and temperature are controlled to ensure fermentation with out disintegration and rotting. Fermentation is where the aroma, burning and flavor are brought out of the tobacco leaf.

After the leave has properly aged, they are then sorted into categories for filler or wrapper, based on the quality and overall appearance. The leaves are continuously moistened and handled carefully to ensure the quality of the tobacco. The leaves will be baled, and inspected multiple times during the aging cycle. When the leaf is fully matured for manufacturer's specifications, it is then selected for cigar production.
